Please NOTE - CLASSES versus DEMOS:

Dates and times vary, some are free demos, and some are pre-pay & pre-register classes.

Free Demos are open to the public. Seating is limited, so if you have special requirements, please arrive early, so we can help.
Paid Classes Classes require pre-payment and pre-registration and will fill up on a first-come, first serve basis. Please note each class has it's own fee, syllabus, and deadline for registration.

ENCAUSTICS

             Saturday August 14th, 
    11:00 a.m.-12:00 Noon: 

Kristin Richland will demonstrate the basic techniques of how to work with Encaustic Paints, including Collage and mixed Media.

(after a 30 minute break), from: 
12:30 p.m. -1:30 p.m.
Theresa Somerset will show the use of Encaustic resist with Watercolor, keeping the colored wax as part of the artwork, on various substrates, including eggs!

This will be an interactive class designed to get you out of that logical brain and away from the judgments of the ordinary sense of sight. Be prepared to be blindfolded and have fun!

Kristin will cover what you need to know in approaching mat cutting for the first time, so sign up, bring your mat cutter, and calculator, and Kristin will show you how to prepare mats for your own art.
